In 1981, Danish singer-songwriter Suzanne Menzel released a self-financed album 'Goodbyes & Beginnings'. Gaining little attention at the time, over the years it became one of the most highly sought after 80's Danish records. Suzanne unfortunately passed away without recording anything else, making it her only release...

Frederiksberg Records issued a full re-mastered release of the album including a limited edition repress of the LP to great critical acclaim in 2018 - Separately the label reached out to me for some unrelated remix work, which ended up not happening, although the the stars aligned and I chanced across 'What A Winter's Day', which happened to be off that very album

A difficult track to pigeon-hole, it's often described as 'new age, melancholic & folk inspired' - I liked it immediately, feeling the lyrics are more relevant now then ever, and created a remix that is fairly respectful to the original, pushing the tempo up and adding some bass, strings & FX, as well as a good dose of percussion - It's a chugger!
